BatNav runs on both iOS and Android
devices.
BatNav requires an NMEA WiFi
device such as those provided by Digital Yacht, B&G or Quark. A separate
Raspberry Pi project also allows you to build your own WiFi device in
a relatively straightforward manner.
You must have an AIS receiver and GPS receiver connected to one of these devices.
The GPS receiver is optional as BatNav
can be configured to use the built in GPS receiver of your phone/tablet.
The Android version of BatNav has a free demo version.
It is recommended that you try this to ensure your onboard devices
work with BatNav before purchasing the full version.
